Why CDN

WHY CDN

A shorter journey for your website content

Your visitors may be far from your hosting server. A content delivery network places reusable copies of eligible files closer to them.

How a CDN works

1. Your website stays hosted

Your hosting server remains the source for your website and application. A CDN complements your hosting service.

2. Public files are cached

The CDN retrieves eligible images, scripts and stylesheets and stores temporary copies at its delivery locations.

3. Visitors receive nearby copies

When a cached copy is available, a suitable CDN location serves it. Cache misses and uncached requests still reach your origin.

When a CDN can help

A CDN is especially useful when visitors come from several regions, pages include many images, or your business experiences bursts of traffic. Caching can reduce repeated file requests to your hosting server and improve loading consistency.

A small local website may see a smaller improvement. We review your audience, current performance and traffic before recommending paid delivery.

What still needs website care?

Slow database queries, oversized images, outdated plugins and third-party scripts still need attention. Login pages, shopping carts, checkout and personalized content must be excluded from shared caching unless specifically configured safely.

A CDN does not replace hosting, backups, malware cleanup or ongoing website maintenance. Performance gains depend on your website and configuration; search rankings and conversion gains cannot be guaranteed.
